Lakeland, Fla. – September 6th, 2025 – The Warner University Cross Country teams competed in the Swan City Classic, hosted by Southeastern University, facing a large and competitive field featuring runners from both NAIA and NCAA programs.
In the Women's 4K, Amirah Johnson continued her standout season, securing a Top 10 finish (9th overall) with a time of 14:40.2. Johnson also claimed 1st place among all NAIA and SUN Conference competitors, marking another impressive performance for the Royals. Alexa Molina followed with an 83rd-place finish, posting a time of 18:09 in a field of more than 100 runners.
On the Men's side, the Royals placed 11th overall in the 6K race, competing against a strong mix of programs. Derick Gomez led Warner with a 91st-place finish and a time of 21:48.6, closely followed by Dylan Atwater in 92nd with a time of 21:49. Steven Twiss finished 122nd (23:42.7), while Juan Aguirre and Sam Attard rounded out the team with times of 28:52.7 and 29:55.5, respectively. The men's race featured over 150 competitors.
Both teams continue to gain momentum as they progress through the 2025 season, showing steady improvement and strong representation among NAIA and SUN Conference programs.
