RECAP: Royals Fall in SUN Conference Matchup to Keiser, 68-59

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner Women's Basketball turned in one of its strongest offensive performances of the season on Saturday afternoon, but the Royals came up short in a competitive SUN Conference matchup, falling 68–59 to Keiser University inside the Turner Athletic Center.

The Royals were powered by standout scoring efforts from Aleyna Sherman and Bethany Howard, who each poured in 19 points to lead the Warner offense.

Sherman was highly efficient, shooting 7-of-10 from the field, 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 3-for-3 at the free-throw line. She added 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and a team-high 4 steals, impacting the game on both ends of the floor.

Howard provided a strong scoring presence as well, going 6-of-13 from the floor and converting 7-of-12 at the foul line to match Sherman's team-high total of 19 points.

On the boards, Carissa Marthy continued her dominant stretch of play, securing 11 rebounds (3 offensive, 8 defensive). Marthy also matched Sherman with 2 assists, helping facilitate the Royals' half-court offense.

As a team, Warner shot 37% (17-46) from the field and 33% (3-9) from three-point range while earning significant opportunities at the free-throw line, finishing 22-of-33 (66.7%). The Royals remained within striking distance throughout the game, but the Seahawks' late-game execution proved to be the difference.

Warner will look to build on its improved shooting and continued rebounding strength as they prepare to host the Bears of Shawne State University.
