LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner University Men's Basketball team is headed to Kingsport, Tennessee for one of the premier early-season events in the NAIA calendar—The Show Tournament—where the Royals will face national-level competition in matchups against Campbellsville University (Ky.) and Indiana University East. The tournament provides Warner with a major opportunity to test its depth, tempo, and execution against two well-established opponents.
 

Matchup 1: Warner vs Campbellsville University (KY)

Campbellsville, a perennial contender in the Mid-South Conference, brings physicality, defensive pressure, and size inside. The Tigers traditionally emphasize disciplined half-court sets, strong rebounding, and experience-driven guard play. For Warner, controlling tempo and establishing early offensive rhythm will be key. The Royals will look to push the floor, create transition opportunities, and rely on their perimeter efficiency to counter the Tigers' defensive structure.On the defensive end, Warner will focus on limiting second-chance points and containing Campbellsville's interior attack. A strong showing on the boards and consistent defensive communication will be critical in this opening matchup.
 

Matchup 2: Warner vs Indiana University East

IU East enters the tournament known for its speed, spacing, and high-octane offensive style. • This matchup marks the first ever meeting between the Royals and Tigers.

Warner vs Indiana University East

• The Red Wolves currently lead the series 2-1, with the first meeting being in 2009.
• The Royals took the first victory of the series, 68-61 in Cincinnati, OH in 2009 (first meeting). 
• Since 2009, the Royals and Red Wolves faced off again 7 years later in Kingsport, TN for 2 consecutive appearances at the NAIA-The Show Tournament. In those 2 matchups, the Red Wolves took both victories (2017, 74-65) and (2018, 76-73).
• The two programs prepare to face off again for the 3rd consecutive time in Kingsport and for the fourth time in series history.
