FOOTBALL: Royals Power Past Thomas Nighthawks in Sun Conference Victory, 35-27

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Warner University Football team hit the road Saturday evening and came away with a thrilling 35–27 victory over Thomas University, led by a historic performance from freshman running back Jamarian Robinson. Robinson exploded for 298 rushing yards (292 net) and three touchdowns, becoming the program's all-time single-game rushing leader and propelling the Royals to another strong Sun Conference win.

Warner's offense set the tone early, taking a 7–0 lead in the first quarter when quarterback Michael Ryan connected with Hazaia Phillips for a 13-yard touchdown pass, capping off an 11-play, 44-yard drive that chewed up nearly seven minutes of clock.

In the second quarter, Ryan found the end zone again—this time with his legs—scoring on a 9-yard quarterback keeper to extend the Royals' lead. Moments later, Robinson broke free for his first score of the night, a 32-yard touchdown run that showcased his speed and balance as Warner surged ahead 21–0.

Thomas responded to close the gap before halftime, but Warner's ground game continued to dominate in the second half. Robinson punched in his second touchdown of the game on a 7-yard run midway through the third quarter, finishing off a 13-play, 70-yard drive. Less than three minutes later, he delivered the play of the night — a record-breaking 92-yard touchdown run that silenced the home crowd and secured his place in the Warner record books.

Ryan led the Royals' air attack, completing 9 of 19 passes for 76 yards and one touchdown, while also adding a rushing score. Carlos Witherup led all Warner receivers with three catches for 29 yards, and Phillips added a touchdown reception.

Defensively, the Royals held strong when it mattered most, forcing key stops to preserve the eight-point victory.

With the win, Warner improves its season record and continues to build momentum heading into the final stretch of conference play.

"Tonight was a statement performance for our guys," said Warner Head Coach Dialleo Burks. "Jamarian's effort was historic, but it was a total team win—our offensive line opened holes, our quarterback made plays, and our defense held firm. This is the kind of football we've been working toward."

Robinson's 298-yard rushing total now stands as the highest single-game mark in Warner Football history, surpassing all previous program records.

The Royals will look to carry their winning momentum into next week's matchup as they continue Sun Conference action.
