LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals Men's Basketball team was able to overcome a 13 point deficit with 10 minutes remaining in the 1st half to win 103 - 78 at home over the Mitchell College Mariners. The 103 point performance is the highest scoring game the Royals have had this season so far.
After a slow start, Warner was able to find their rythym and turn a 13 point defecit with 10 minutes remaining into a 1 point lead to enter halftime with a score of 46 - 45. The Royals were able to keep their energy up to start the 2nd half as the Mariners attempted to match the Royals effort in a back and forth start to the half. The Royals were eventually able to pull away from Mitchell College behind strong performances off the bench to win 103 - 78.
All 13 Royals scored in today's high scoring outing, with
Josh Irwin leading the charge with 24 points. Coming off of an injury, Irwin lead the team with
24 points (11-16 FG, 1-2 3PT), tying his career high in scoring, and recorded
5 Rebounds, 2 Assists and
1 Block in his return to the court.
Bryson Castillo contributed
15 points of his own to the Royals while also recording
4 Rebounds, 2 Assists and

Brodie Teke had a career day in today's matchup
shooting a perfect 100% today going

12 points. Teke also recorded

new Career High's for the Sophomore.
