LAKE WALES, FL- The Royals faced off against Southeastern University in a non-conference bout.
The Royals entered the game 2-2 in hopes of knocking off their conference foe in a non-conference matchup.
Dovydas Raciunas started on the mound for the Royals and pitched well, holding the visiting Fire to one run (unearned) on two hits, while recording five strikeouts through four innings. Raciunas was relieved by fellow southpaw
Gavin Tuttle who was great out of the pen, throwing a couple scoreless innings. The Royals bats failed to get going in the contest despite back-to-back hits to lead off the game by
Cesar Franco and
Diego Guevara. They would finish the game with just four hits total. The Fire's bats would come alive in the seventh inning where they would run away with the game in the proceeding innings. The Royals drop to the Southeastern Fire 10-0. Fire starting pitcher Reese Wissinger was credited with the win, while Raciunas was handed the loss despite a solid performance.
