Royals Clinch Thrilling Victory Over St. Thomas Bobcats, 85-81

LAKE WALES, FL - In a highly competitive SUN Conference basketball showdown at Lake Wales, FL, the Warner University Royals secured a hard-fought win against the St. Thomas Bobcats with a final score of 85-81. This intense game, played on February 12, showcased top-tier college basketball from both teams, with the Royals rallying to finish strong.

The early game had the Royals, led by the impressive Blaize Darling's 27 points and 9 rebounds, establishing an early dominance. Key performances also came from Jack Voth, who not only scored 21 points but provided crucial assists and rebounds. The competition was neck-and-neck with the halftime score narrowly favoring St. Thomas at 44-45. However, Warner managed to pull ahead in the second half, thanks to strategic plays and standout free throws by Darling and Voth, leading to an energy-packed victory.

The Warner defense was relentless in the final periods. Joshua Glesil contributed significantly with his defensive skills, snagging 2 steals and adding 10 points to the team's tally. His efforts not only halted St. Thomas's momentum but also allowed Warner to rebuild and maintain their advantage through critical plays.

Looking forward, the Royals are set to face Southeastern Fire in Lakeland, FL, on February 15. With a current record of 9-15, Warner University's basketball team is eager to build their winning streak and continue their march toward more victories in the SUN Conference.
