Royals Sweep Doubleheader Series Against Calumet Crimson Wave, 13-5, 9-1

LAKE WALES, FL - The Warner University Royals softball team showcased their skills in a commanding doubleheader victory over Calumet College's Crimson Wave on Thursday, February 28, 2025, at Daly Field in Lake Wales, FL. The Royals won the first game 13-5 and followed with a 9-1 victory in the second game, improving their season record to an even 3-3.

Offensively, the Royals were unstoppable with notable performances from numerous players. Diana Martin, Autumn Calcagno, and Samantha Berube, among others, crossed home plate multiple times contributing to the impressive final scores. Jilian Hudson was a standout with 6 RBIs while Grace Derstine not only delivered multiple doubles but also batted in 4 runs. Additional RBI contributors included Remy Camp, Samantha Berube, Emma-Lea Cabral, and Autumn Calcagno, all of whom ensured the scoreboard kept ticking in favor of Warner University.

Pitching duties were expertly handled by Keirsten Garman in the first game and Avery Garbarek in the second, both controlling the game's pace and keeping the Crimson Wave hitters at bay. The solid pitching performance combined with the offensive fireworks provided a clear path to victory for the Royals.

Looking ahead, the Royals will face the Grandview Vikings on Friday, March 1, 2025, also at Daly Field.
