BRUNSWICK, GA - Royals softball faced a tough road series in Brunswick, GA against SUN Conference opponent, Coastal Georgia Mariners, April 11-12, 2025. Despite strong individual performances, the Royals couldn't secure a series win on the road.
GAME 1, L (5-1)
The game began with promise for Warner University when
Diana Martin scored in the top of the first inning, driven home by
Samantha Berube's single. However, the Mariners quickly countered with two runs of their own in the bottom half, taking an early lead they would not relinquish. As the game progressed, the Royals struggled to match Coastal Georgia's pace, culminating in the final 5-1 scoreline.
GAME 2, L (10-1)
The game marked a particularly strong performance by Coastal Georgia who clinched the victory early on. Despite this, Warner University saw commendable contributions from individuals like
Remy Camp and
Tyler Mooring. Camp managed to secure Warner's only run of the game after an effective advance to second on a passed ball and subsequently scoring on Mooring's RBI single. Mooring's efforts added an RBI to his stats, contributing a glimmer of competitiveness in the tough outing.
