LAKE WALES, Fla. - Warner University Women's Soccer Royals opened their season with a challenging game against the Thomas Night Hawks on August 21, 2025, at the Royals Soccer Field. The regular season opener did not favor the home team, as they faced a strong opposition and ended the game with a score of Thomas 4-0 Warner (FL).

Thomas opened the scoring with an early goal  at the 11:38 mark, setting the pace for the match. The Night Hawks continued to press their advantage, with 3 further goals to end the first half. 

Defensively, Warner's goalie, Haley Van Houweling, was in goal throughout the game and faced 14 tough shots from the Thomas attackers. Despite the challenging game, the Royals are set to regroup and look forward to their next challenge against Brewton-Parker College on August 23, 2025, in Mount Vernon, GA.
