Royals Show Fight but Fall on the Road at Georgetown
The Warner University football team battled hard on Saturday afternoon but ultimately came up short against Georgetown College (KY), dropping a 45-14 decision in Toyota Stadium.
Game Recap
The Royals fell behind early after a defensive score by the Tigers but continued to compete throughout the contest. Despite being shut out in the first half, Warner found ways to generate offense after the break.
Defensively, the Royals created one of the highlight moments of the afternoon when Reginald Jones stepped in front of a Georgetown pass and sprinted 50 yards for a touchdown midway through the third quarter. The pick-six gave Warner a jolt of energy and cut into the Tigers' momentum.
In the fourth quarter, Warner's offense found the end zone thanks to Jamarian Robinson, who powered in from six yards out to cap off a determined Royals drive.
