RECAP: Sherman's Buzzer-Beater Lifts Royals Past Webber International in Thrilling SUN Conference Win

BABSON PARK, Fla. – Warner Women's Basketball delivered a dramatic finish on Wednesday evening, defeating Webber International University 54–53 on the road in a SUN Conference matchup decided by a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Aleyna Sherman. The win marks one of the Royals' most exciting victories of the season, capped by poise and execution in the final moments.

With time winding down, Sherman rose from beyond the arc and connected on the game-winning triple, sealing the one-point victory for Warner. Sherman finished with a team-high 17 points, shooting 6-of-16 from the field, knocking down three three-pointers, and adding two free throws.

Carissa Marthy controlled the boards for the Royals, pulling down a game-high 10 rebounds to anchor the interior presence. Cameron Tripp facilitated the offense with a team-best five assists (including the game-winning assist), while Bethany Howard ignited the defensive effort with five steals.

Warner's defensive intensity was a difference-maker throughout the contest, as the Royals recorded a season-high 16 steals and five blocks. Anabelle Gogol led the rim protection with three blocks, helping limit Webber's opportunities inside.

As a team, Warner shot 36.4 percent from the field (20-of-55) and knocked down a season-high seven three-pointers, the most made from beyond the arc this season. The Royals' relentless pressure and timely shot-making proved pivotal in the conference road victory.
