MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Warner University men's volleyball fell in straight sets Saturday afternoon, dropping a 3-0 decision (25-16, 25-17, 25-18) to Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent St. Thomas University on the road.
St. Thomas controlled the pace from the opening serve, building early leads in each set and limiting Warner's offensive rhythm throughout the match. Despite the result, the Royals showed flashes of balance and resilience, working to stay engaged against a strong Bobcat squad.
Darion Graham led Warner offensively with a team-high eight kills while also contributing at the service line. Romone Rudolph added six kills as the Royals totaled 24 kills in the match. Warner spread production across the lineup, recording six service aces and 22 assists.
Meric Akovali guided the offense with 13 assists and added three digs defensively. Kj Harrison matched Akovali with a team-high three digs as Warner continued to battle in extended rallies.
The Royals move forward in conference play and will look to regroup ahead of their next road test.
Warner returns to action Saturday, February 15, traveling to Miami Shores, Fla. to face University of Jamestown at 2 p.m hosted by Barry University.
