West Palm Beach, Fl. – February 14, 2026 – The Warner University beach volleyball team kicked off the 2026 season at Rinker Athletic Campus facing two strong opponents.
February 14 – Florida Southern 5, Warner 0
- Pair 1: Melcher/Bryant (SFLO) def. Fassnacht/Cooley (WU) – 21-15, 21-17
- Pair 2: Carefoot/Idler (SFLO) def. McDermott/Coggins (WU) – 21-14, 21-17
- Pair 3: Muti/Muti (SFLO) def. Jesus/Laboy (WU) – 19-21, 21-16, 15-10
- Pair 4: Pringle/Passaglia (SFLO) def. Dumont/Crossman (WU) – 21-12
- Pair 5: Harris/Rushing (SFLO) def. Holmbeck/Anderson (WU) – 21-13, 21-6
Match Recap:
Warner opened the event with a hard-fought battle against Florida Southern. The Royals saw their closest battle in Pair 3, where Julia De Jesus and Imar Laboy pushed their opponents to the third set but came up just short, 19-21, 21-16, 15-10. Pair 1, Leah Cooley and Ashlyn Fassnacht fought hard but were defeated 21-15, 21-17. Despite the valiant effort of Pairs 3, Warner was unable to secure the win, falling short 5-0.

- Pair 1: Kremer/Nadean (PBA) def. Fassnacht/Cooley (WU) – 21-12, 21-4
- Pair 2: Galligan/Goggin (PBA) def. McDermott/Coggins (WU) – 21-14, 21-12
- Pair 3: Cox/Caroline (PBA) def. Jesus/Laboy (WU) – 21-12, 21-12
- Pair 4: Corbett/Ring (PBA) def. Dumont/Crossman (WU) – 21-8, 21-6
- Pair 5: Rogers/Pace (PBA) def. Holmbeck/Anderson (WU) – 21-8, 21-10
Match Recap:
The Warner University beach volleyball team put up another strong fight but fell 0-5 to Palm Beach Atlantic. Pair 2, Skye McDermott and Lydia Coggins started off the match strong against their opponent. Despite a determined effort, the pair lost the two set match, 21-14, 21-12. Pair 4, Adeline Dumont and Reese Crossman fought hard for their second match of the season. However, the Sailfish took the matches to clinch the team win.
Though the scoreboard may not have reflected their effort, Warner will use these patches to grow and prepare for their first conference match on the sand next week. The Royals will look to bounce back in their next match as they continue their season with grit and heart.
