RECAP: Royals Rally Past NCAA Div-II Jamestown Jimmies for Neutral Site Victory

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — The Warner University men's volleyball team responded in impressive fashion Sunday afternoon, defeating the University of Jamestown 3-1 (14-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22) at a neutral-site contest hosted by Barry University in Miami Shores.

Jamestown opened the match with momentum, taking the first set 25-14 as Warner worked to settle into rhythm. The Royals quickly regrouped and flipped the script in set two, tightening up defensively and finding consistency in transition to even the match with a 25-21 win.

Warner carried that energy into the third and fourth frames, controlling key stretches with disciplined net play and timely serving. The Royals closed out both sets by identical 25-22 scores, sealing the 3-1 victory and showcasing resilience after the opening setback.

Romone Rudolph led the offensive charge with 13 kills, while Darion Graham added 12 to give the Royals a balanced one-two punch on the outside. Donovon Adams made his presence felt from the service line, delivering a match-high four aces.

Meric Akovali orchestrated the offense with a season-high 37 assists, distributing efficiently across all attacking options as Warner totaled 47 team kills. Defensively, Kj Harrison anchored the back row with 10 digs, helping the Royals compile 39 digs in the four-set effort.

The victory builds momentum for Warner as they prepare for a pivotal stretch of conference play.

The Royals return home February 19–21 to host an Appalachian Athletic Conference Pod at the Turner Athletic Center in Lake Wales, Fla., facing Reinhardt University, Life University, and Truett McConnell University.
