CLEVELAND, Ga. - Warner Women's Lacrosse continued its explosive start to the 2026 season on Saturday afternoon, securing its second consecutive 25-goal performance in a commanding 25-11 road victory over Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia.
After building momentum in Friday's season opener, the Royals once again showcased their offensive firepower and depth. Warner led 5-3 at the end of the first quarter before breaking the game open in the second, outscoring Truett McConnell 8-2 in the frame to take a 13-5 advantage into halftime. The Royals continued to push the pace in the second half, extending their lead to 19-9 after three quarters and closing strong in the fourth to finish off the 25-11 win.
The attack was both relentless and efficient, as Warner converted 25 goals on 42 shots while posting an outstanding .881 shots-on-goal percentage. Ball control and possession dominance played a critical role, with the Royals winning 21 draw controls and scooping up 25 ground balls to consistently create extra opportunities.
E'Mya Miller led the charge with seven goals and Anaya Lister five goals, while Morgan Van Auken added four in the victory. The Royals' balanced offensive approach was highlighted by crisp ball movement, with Abigail Petrillo, Vanessa Lynch, and Lister each dishing out three assists.
Lister also made her presence felt defensively, leading the team with four ground balls. Petrillo dominated the draw circle with eight draw controls, helping Warner dictate tempo throughout the contest. Defensively, Petrillo, Nancy Huynh, and Kaylin Brown each caused two turnovers as the Royals applied steady pressure.
With back-to-back 25-goal performances to open the season, Warner now turns its attention to its 2026 home opener. The Royals will host University of the Cumberlands on February 23 at 6:00 p.m. in Lake Wales, Florida.
