LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals will look to end their regular season on a high note this week as they take on New College of Florida on the road and when they wrap up their season at home against Webber International University this Saturday. Saturday's matchup against Webber will also be Senior Day for the Royals, so be sure to come out to support our seniors this weekend!
Warner will come into the matchups after a tough week of competition, falling to St. Thomas University on the road 75-45 and dropping their game against (RV) Southeastern University last Saturday 81-53. The Royals are hoping to sweep both season series against New College of Florida and Webber International University this week after knocking off both teams earlier this season. The Royals took down the Mighty Banyans at home on January 17th in their 1st SUN Conference win of the season 58-51, before beating the Warriors on the road off a game winning 3 pointer from
Aleyna Sherman in the final seconds of the game to win 54-53. Warner will look to take what they learned earlier this season in hopes to finish their year with a 2-0 week.
New College will come into the week after dropping both of their SUN Conference matchups last week. The Mighty Banyans fell to (RV) Southeastern 83-27 before traveling to Webber where they lost 73-35. Webber split their two games last week, losing to Keiser on the road on Wednesday 67-45 before taking the win against New College on Saturday. Both games are sure to be competitive as the Mighty Banyans and Warriors have both competed well against the Royals earlier this year, but Warner is sure to use their knowledge from their previous wins as a way for them to get the edge over both programs.
