LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals will travel down to Miami Gardens this weekend to open up SUN Conference play with a 3 Game Series against St. Thomas University.
Warner is coming off a restful bye week and are excited to get back on the field this weekend as they come into the series with a 6-2 record, their best start through 8 games since the 2021 season. The Royals last games were on February 14th where they split a double header with Thomas University at home on Daly Field, Warner took game 1 7-to-3 and then fell in a back-and-forth game 2 that ended 4-to-3 in favor of Thomas.
St. Thomas University enters the week with a 10-1 record after taking 2-of-3 games against Georgia Gwinnett College at home. The Bobcats lost their first game of the year last Friday to Georgia Gwinnett by a score of 9-to-7 to open their 3 game series. STU bounced back on Saturday taking both games of the doubleheader, winning the first game 8-to-0 and the second 7-to-1.
Both teams will be looking to continue their strong starts into SUN Conference play in what is sure to be a tightly contested weekend of games.
