LAKE WALES, Fla. - Royals Baseball continues their 9 game homestand this weekend with a 4 game series against Mission University on Friday and Saturday.
The Royals come into the series with a 8-6 record after winning on Tuesday night against Bethel University (IN) to get their homestand started. Warner returned home after being on the road for the last two weekends, first in a 3 game series against Thomas University on the 13th and 14th of February and then last weekend against Ave Maria University. The Royals came out of their back-to-back road series with a 4-3 overall record, taking 2-of-3 from Thomas and splitting the 4 game series with SUN Conference opponent Ave Maria. Warner is finding more consistency both on the mound and at the plate and hope to continue to build on that this weekend.
Mission University comes into the week with an 8-9 record after competing in the Midwest Clash, a 5 team classic that saw the Patriots going 1-3 on the weekend. The Patriots have been true road warriors this season playing all of their 17 games away from home, 13 neutral site games and 4 away games. Before taking on the Royals, the Patriots will take on University of Fort Lauderdale in a doubleheader on February 25th.
