LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Warner University Royals delivered a historic performance Wednesday afternoon, overwhelming the Saint Leo University Lions 81-0 at Tye Athletic Field in Lake Wales.
The February 25th 4 p.m. kickoff marked Warner's second home contest of the 2026 season, and the Royals responded with the most points scored in program history while recording their second consecutive shutout.
Warner set the tone early, striking on a 43-yard touchdown pass from Kathryn Hutchinson to Jessica Finley midway through the first quarter. The Royals would pour in 20 first-quarter points and never look back, carrying a 41-0 advantage into halftime before adding 40 more points across the final two quarters.
Hutchinson was once again masterful, tossing 10 touchdown passes while completing 23-of-26 attempts for 430 yards. The Royals' passing attack was nearly unstoppable, averaging 15.7 yards per attempt and producing scoring drives of 43, 66, 41, 47, and 34 yards throughout the contest.
A special milestone came in the second quarter when Serenity Hickman hauled in her first collegiate touchdown reception on a 7-yard strike from Hutchinson, capping an efficient scoring drive and adding to the Royals' growing momentum.
The defense matched the offense's intensity, limiting Saint Leo to just 150 total yards while forcing three interceptions and recording three sacks. Ana Vincensini ignited the defensive scoring with a 17-yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter, while Jessica Finley sealed the historic performance with a 47-yard interception return for a score in the fourth. The Royals added constant pressure throughout the game, highlighted by multiple sacks from Marian Torrero and Adriana Williams.
Warner finished with 461 total offensive yards on just 31 plays, averaging an astonishing 14.9 yards per play in the dominant victory.
