LAKE WALES, Fla. — Student-athletes, coaches, and staff from Warner University came together in a powerful display of service and unity as part of the institution's annual "Warner Cares Day," impacting communities throughout Lake Wales and across Polk County.

Representing every varsity program, Warner Athletics fully embraced the mission of service, stepping beyond competition to make a lasting difference in the lives of local residents. From sunrise to the afternoon hours, Royals teams were dispersed throughout the region, participating in a wide variety of service initiatives aimed at uplifting and strengthening the community.

Projects included neighborhood clean-ups, campus beautification efforts, youth mentorship activities, food distribution support, and partnerships with local schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations. Student-athletes worked side-by-side with community members, demonstrating the values of leadership, humility, and compassion that define Warner Athletics.

"This day is about more than service hours—it's about building relationships and living out our commitment to faith and community," said Warner University Athletic Director, Sean Hanrahan. "Our student-athletes take pride in representing Warner not only in competition, but in the way they give back and serve others."

Teams made a visible impact across multiple sites, assisting with landscaping projects, organizing donations, supporting after-school programs, and providing hands-on help to organizations in need. The collective effort showcased the depth of Warner's commitment to servant leadership and community engagement.

For many student-athletes, the experience offered a meaningful opportunity to connect with the community they call home. Whether lending a hand at local outreach centers or spending time mentoring youth, Royals athletes exemplified what it means to serve with purpose.

"Warner Cares Day" continues to be a cornerstone event for the university, reinforcing its mission to develop Christ-centered leaders dedicated to making a difference both on and off the field.

As the Royals return to competition, the impact of this day will resonate far beyond the scoreboard—leaving a lasting mark throughout Lake Wales and the greater Polk County community.
