LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals had their best day at the plate this year on Friday driving in a combined 38 runs during their double-header sweep of the New College of Florida Mighty Banyans. Warner recorded a season high of 6 homers in their 24-to-5 win in game 1 and followed that up by taking game 2 by a score of 14-to-8 while knocking 2 more out-of-the-park.

Game 1: Royals Win 24-5
The Royals had an absolutely dominant performance in game 1 of their SUN Conference series against the Mighty Banyans plating 24 runs on 17 hits. Friday's first game saw the Royals record new single game season highs for runs scored (24), hits (17), RBIs (19), Doubles (6), and Home Runs (6). Game 1 of the double-header also marked the first time this season that the Royals had two different players record multi-home run games as Ethan Pues and Dawson Schumann both hit 2 homers in the win. Warner also recorded a new season high for runs scored in a singled Inning when they scored 11 runs in the 2nd Inning. The Royals' 2nd Inning was bookended with Home Runs starting off with a Paddy Smith 2 run homer and ended with a solo home run by Ethan Pues while Samuel Blanco, Gabriel Rodriguez, Adriel Torres-Gonzalez also recorded RBIs in the massive 11 run Inning for Warner.

Warner kept their foot on the gas in the 3rd Inning scoring 9 more runs to give the Royals a 20-2 lead. Dawson Schumann executed the rare feat of hitting 2 home runs in the same Inning on Friday when he hit a solo homer and a 3 run homer to score the 1st and last runs of the Inning for the Royals. Pues also hit his 2nd home run of the game in the 3rd when he hit a 2 run homer to deep left-center field after Timothy Dunn recorded the other RBI in the Inning for the Royals. Timothy Dunn recorded his own 2 run home run in the 4th Inning before Torres-Gonzalez and Paddy Smith scored the Royals last 2 RBIs in the 5th Inning to get the Royals to 24 runs. Warner saw 6 different players record RBIs and 9 different Royals score a run on their way to secure their largest margin of victory of the season so far.

Austin Vakiener earned his 3rd win of the season after getting the start and recording 5 Innings pitched and allowed only 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 3 to improve his record to 3-0. Cooper Hamilton and Drew Owen closed out the game for the Royals as Hamilton shut out the Banyans and allowed only 1 hit while Owen allowed only 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out 2 to help the Royals secure their 22nd win of the season.
