OAKLAND PARK, Fla. - The Royals took a break from SUN Conference play this weekend to take on University of Fort Lauderdale for a 3 game series that began with a Friday double-header. Warner pulled off a late game comeback in Friday's opening game with a 3 run 7th to take a 6-to-5 win before the Eagels took game 2 by a score of 12-to-2. 

After taking a 3-to-1 lead through the first 4 Innings the Eagles fired back in the 5th Inning to take a 5-to-3 lead over the Royals entering the final Innings of the game. Warner rallied in the 7th Inning and were able to bring home 3 runs before Alexi Angelo went on to earn the save in the bottom of the Inning. JD Swarbrick lead the way of Warner at the plate going a perfect 3-for-3 while driving in 1 run and scoring 2 himself. While Swarbrick lead the Royals with 3 hits, Dawson Schumann lead the team with a 3 RBI's driving in all 3 runs on a 3 run Home Run, his 2nd of the year. Warner recorded 9 hits Ethan Pues hit his 3rd Home Run of the season on Friday when he blasted a 2 run homer in the Royals win. The Royals finished the game with 9 hits, 2 of them going for home runs, 4 stolen bases and no errors in the win. On the mound, Easton Nunez threw a solid 4.0 Innings in his start allowing only 2 earned runs on 4 hits with 1 strikeout while Adian Murphy threw 1.2 shutout Innings and allowed only 2 hits and struck out 2 in the win. 

The Eagles got the best of the Royals in game 2 winning 12-to-3. Swarbrick continued his strong day at the plate hitting a 2 run home run, his 1st of the year. Ethan Pues drove in the 3rd run for the Royals with an RBI double and went 1-3 with a walk. Willis McCarter had a strong day out of the bullpen on Friday recording 2.2 Innings pitched and allowed only 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out a game high 5 batters in game 2. 

Warner will look to win the series tomorrow in the series finale that is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm.
