OAKLAND PARK, Fla. - The Royals wrapped up their non-Conference series with University of Fort Lauderdale on Saturday that saw the Royals hit a single game season high 3 home runs. UFTL got the best of the Royals in the final game of the series taking the win by a score of 14-to-4.
Paddy Smith had one of his best days at the plate on Saturday going a perfect 3-for-3 on the day with 2 solo Home Runs. Smith's 3 hit game against the Eagles marked the 8th time that the Junior has recorded 2 or more hits in a single game this season.
Ethan Pues hit his 2nd Home Run of the series against UFTL, his 1st came in game 1 of the series, bringing his season total to a team-leading 4 homers.
JD Swarbrick drove in the Royals other run on an RBI Single that scored
Timothy Dunn who had stolen a base to put himself into scoring position earlier in the Inning.
Aidan Murphy had a strong showing out of the bullpen recording 2.1 Innings pitched without allowing a run on 3 hits and struck out 2. The Royals final stat line was 4 runs on 8 hits with 3 solo home runs while stealing 2 bases and recording 1 error in Saturday's NCCAA matchup.
Warner will return to SUN Conference play this weekend when they host (RV) Keiser University in a 4 game series.
