LAKE WALES, Fla. — Warner University Women's Volleyball battled Sun Conference opponent Keiser University on Saturday afternoon, with the Royals falling to the Seahawks in four sets, 3-1 (25-22, 24-26, 25-13, 25-18), at the Turner Athletic Center.
Warner opened the match with a competitive first set, trailing 25-22 before responding with a strong performance in the second. The Royals edged Keiser 26-24 in the second set to even the match at one set apiece.
Keiser regained control in the third set, earning a 25-13 victory before closing out the match with a 25-18 fourth-set win.
Siarah Bencosme and Araya Garrison led the Royals offensively with 10 kills apiece. Bencosme added three digs, while Garrison contributed an ace and three blocks.
Rylee Waldie turned in an efficient offensive performance, recording eight kills on 14 attacks without an error for a .571 hitting percentage. Julia De Jesus added seven kills, while Reese Crossman recorded five kills.
Maricelys Rivera anchored the Warner defense with a match-high 17 digs while also contributing nine assists and three service aces. Imar Laboy directed the Royals' offense with 20 assists, while Skye McDermott added eight assists in limited action.
Warner finished the match with 45 kills, 44 assists, five service aces and 61 digs.
