Mac McCord

Mac McCord joined the Warner University Royals in 2019 after coaching at Dordt College on Joel Penner's Staff in 2018. He is starting his 41st season of coaching football and serves as the Royals Offensive Coordinator.

Mac compiled 31 years on the Pacific Lutheran University Football Coaching Staff. During that time he coached in 5 National Championship Games, 4 Overseas Gridiron Tours, and 34 College Football Playoff Contests.

Mac served as the Lutes Defensive Coordinator from 1996-2004 and returned to that role from 2010-2017. For 5 seasons from 2005-2009, he served as the Assistant Head Coach/Quarterback Coach & Special Teams Coordinator for Scott Westering.

Prior to becoming defensive coordinator, Mac was a PLU Defensive Assistant from 1988-95 with Defensive Coordinator Paul Hoseth. He served as an assistant for College Football Hall of Fame Coach Frosty Westering for 17 years.
 
Mac started coaching football at Bellevue High School (WA) for Dwayne Hatch in 1980. Prior to graduating from PLU in 1983, he served as an Undergraduate Assistant in 1981. Mac continued coaching football for 3 years at Bethel High School (WA) for David Rastovski. 

Mac went on to earn his Master's Degree from the University of Washington in 1988, and served 3 years as a Graduate Assistant for College Football Hall of Fame Coach Don James.
