Mike Hayde

Coach Mike Hayde is a veteran coach entering his 27th season this fall.  Coach Hayde serves as the Royals Running Backs coach.

Before coaching at Warner University, Coach Hayde coached Offensive Line, Running Backs, and Special Teams for four years at Webber International University. 
 
From 1998 to 2008 he was the Head Football Coach of the Fort Meade Miners and compiled a career coaching record of 117 - 35.  Under his leadership, Fort Meade was known as one of the elite programs in Florida, winning a State Title in 2004. Coach Hayde was named Florida High School Coach of the Year in 1999, 2002, 2004, and 2008.  
 
Coach Hayde served as Offensive Line Coach and Special Teams Coordinator for a Professional Arena Football Team, the Lakeland Thunderbolts, for the 2006 and 2007 seasons.  During this time the T Bolts had a 27 - 5 record and won the A.I.F.A. World Championship in 2007.
 
Prior to moving to Florida, Mike served as an assistant coach in two outstanding football programs in Massachusetts at Wellesley High School and Mansfield High School in the 1990's. 
 
Mike has a Bachelors in U.S. History from Framingham State University and a Master in Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston.  He is a Francis Ouimet Scholar.  Mike teaches history and physical education at Traviss Technical College.  Mike lives in Lakeland with his wife Nikki and his son Joseph Charles (13) and his daughter Audrey Elizabeth (11).
