Adam Giger enters his second year at Warner University as Assistant Coach for the Varsity team, and Head Men’s Coach for the developmental team for the 2021-2022 Season.
In his first season with the Royals, Coach Giger aided the Royals to another Regular Season Conference Championship. The Royals got off to a rocky start but rebounded quickly that concluded with a 15-5 record in the TSC. With the Regular Season Conference win the Royals earned a NAIA National Tournament berth. The Royals were able to rally back in the National Tournament opener against Tennessee Wesleyan with the help of three 1stteam all-conference players: Rod Boggan, Dj Mercer, and Logan West.
Before beginning his coaching career, Giger played collegiate basketball for three institutions: Concordia University of Chicago (2014-2015), State College of Florida-Manatee (2015-2016), and Warner University (2016-2018). Throughout his college career, Giger was coached by individuals with astounding resumes. Head Coach Tyler Jones at CUC had previous experience for coaching in the CBA, along with a numerous of NBA level talent including Kevin Ollie, Rick Brunson, and Adrian Griffin. Head Coach Elliot Washington was the starting point guard for a 26-9 University of Alabama team that head several players continue into the NBA. Washington was a previous FHSAA Coach of the year at Southeast High School as well.
Head Coach Sean Hanrahan has amassed over 300 wins during his tenure at Warner University and is currently heading into his 16th season with the Royals. He currently ranks 1st in both winning percentage and total wins at Warner University. Coach Hanrahan also has worked with a copious amount of NBA players and coaches and has been heavily involved with the Team USA basketball organization. In the two years that Giger played under Coach Hanrahan they accumulated 47 wins together including a 2016 Sun Conference Tournament Championship, which also included their team being ranked as high as #3 in the Nation for NAIA. In 2017 Giger was present with the NAIA “Champions of Character” Award at the NAIA Invitational “The Show” in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Preceding his current coaching tenure at Warner University, Giger was an assistant coach at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida. Santa Fe College resides in the NJCAA Region 8, Mid-Florida Conference and is regarded as one of the toughest regions in the state. In 2020 their season concluded as the Mid-Florida Conference Tournament Runner-up.
Giger graduated from Warner University in 2018 with a degree in Business Management.
