JaKarri Alven begins her second season as a Graduate Assistant with the Lady Royals basketball program. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Alven brings a strong background as both a student-athlete and scholar.

Alven competed at Aquinas College from 2019–2023 as a dual-sport athlete in basketball and track, excelling as a small forward on the court and earning the title of NAIA National Champion in the 400-meter dash in 2021. She continued her basketball career at Siena Heights University for the 2023–24 season.

She earned her B.S. in Clinical Exercise Science from Aquinas College in 2023 and a B.A.S. in Health Care Management from Siena Heights University in 2024, achieving Dean’s List honors in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.

Alven now pursues her graduate studies at Warner University while contributing her athletic experience, leadership, and dedication to the Lady Royals program.
