LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner University men's basketball team defeated the Trinity College Tigers on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 1, by a score of 96-55. It was the second straight win for the Royals who opened their 2014-15 schedule with a win over Florida College on Tuesday night, Oct. 28. The Royals are now 2-0 after their first week of the season; the Tigers open their season at 0-1.
The Royals were led by
Antonio Ansley who had 17 points. He was 6-of-6 from the field and 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
Warren Hall and
Hunter Jump added 16 and 12 points respectively.
The Royals shot 54% from the field as a team and 61% from beyond the arc. The Royals dominated in the paint outscoring the Tigers 24-6 as well as on the boards out-rebounding the Tigers 44-34.
AJ Lamb and
Eddie Delegal led the Royals on the boards with nine apiece.
The Royals will look to keep up the strong start on Friday, Nov. 4,as will take on the Clearwater Christian College Cougars in Clearwater, Fla.
