LAKE WALES, Fla. – The winning streak is now at 10 matches for Warner University women's volleyball team following their 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-16) sweep of Keiser University on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Royals remain undefeated in Sun Conference play at 8-0 picking their fifth 3-0 sweep in league play this season.
The Lady Royals cruised to a 25-16 win in the first set thanks to a .355 hitting percentage as a team.
Breeanna Navarro led all players with five kills.
Adrienne Czaplewski hit .429 in the opening set tallying four kills.
In the second set, Warner led 6-0 before the Seahawks got on the scoreboard. The Lady Royals never trailed in the set and got six kills from
Angie Pagan-Perez. The route was on in the third set as the Lady Royals jumped out to a 7-0 lead before the Seahawks recorded a point. Czaplewski had an impressive set with eight kills in 13 swings for the home team. As a team the Lady Royals hit .447 at the net in the final set.
For the match the Lady Royals combined for a .357 hitting percentage and totaled 49 kills. Czaplewski led the way with 15 kills and a .387 hitting percentage. She also led the team with 17 digs.
The Sun Conference Attacker of the Week
Breeanna Navarro had another solid performance as well with 13 kills and a. 407 hitting percentage.
Jenna Swaffer, the reigning conference setter of the week, racked up 35 assists to go along with five kills and 10 digs.
Thalia Mendez, the reigning conference defender of the week also had 10 digs and was perfect passing the ball on the afternoon in 12 attempts.
Rivalry week round two begins next week for the Lady Royals with matches against their two biggest rivals. First on Thursday, Oct. 29, the Lady Royals travel to Lakeland, Fla. to face Southeastern University at 7 p.m. Then on Saturday, Oct. 31, the Lady Royals welcome Webber International University to the Turner Athletic Center for a 2 p.m. match. The Lady Royals won both of their previous meetings with the Fire and Warriors by 3-0 finals.
