Royals Route Eagles with Balanced Attack 91-52

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Ten players finished with points and Warner University men's basketball team ran away with a 91-52 victory over Trinity Baptist College on Tuesday night in the Turner Athletic Center.  It's the second highest point total of the year for the Royals (93) who improve to 3-1 overall.  The loss for the Eagles is their first and drops their record to 2-1.

Halfway through the first half the Royals held a 19-14 advantage and were dominating around the rim with 14 points in the paint.  It would be a theme throughout the night for the Royals as they finished with 26 points in the paint in the first half alone.

Thanks to 50% shooting from the field the Royals lead ballooned to37-25 at the break.  Eddie Delegal led the Royals with a first half double-double.  The junior scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  The Royals as team had nine players score points in the first half.  Nick Macon led the bench effort with six points.

Less than three minutes into the second half the Royals held their largest lead of the game thanks to a 12-0 run forcing the Eagles to call a timeout.  At the first media timeout of the second half, the Royals led 64-30.

The Royals led by as many as 46 down the stretch as they poured it on from behind the arc.  Antonio Ansley had eight points in the first half but caught fire in the second scoring 12 points in seven minutes.  As a team the Royals were 7-for-13 from behind the arc in the second half and outscored the Eagles 44-27.

Delegal's night ended with 17 points and 11 rebounds.  He also had four assists and two blocks.  Ansley led all scorers with 20 points and was 7-of-8 from the field.  Josh Ellis got his first start of the year and finished with 12 points and four rebounds.

The Royals ended the night with a 46-22 rebound advantage over the Eagles.  Every Royal recorded at least one rebound in the game led by Delegal with 11.  The Royals made the most of their second chances scoring 22 points off rebounds.

On Friday, Nov. 13, the Royals hit the road for the first time this season when they head to Temple Terrace, Fla. in a rematch with Florida College.  The Royals defeated the Falcons in their first meeting this season, 78-69, back on Nov. 3.  Friday's game will tip-off at 7 p.m.
