Women's Golf Opens Season at Webber Fall Invitational

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The 2015-16 Warner University women's golf season got underway this week at the 15th Annual Webber Fall Invitational hosted by Webber International University at the Lake Wales Country Club.  The Lady Royals opened the year with a sixth place finish and were led by senior Makenzie Laboyteaux.

Laboyteaux fired back to back rounds of 84 and finished in a tie for 17th.

Marlique Hield began her sophomore season with a 177 (89-88) and a 29th place finish.

Newcomer Megan Fernander made her Warner debut and carded a 183 (94-89).  Crysta Camara also competed for the Lady Royals and shot a 195 (90-105).

William Carey University (Miss.) took home top team honors with a two-round 636 (320-316).  Hope Biggs of William Carey was the low individual medalist with a 153 (78-75).
