Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla.- The Royals volleyball team took on the St. Thomas Bobcats in a Sun Conference match up Saturday afternoon. The Royals would com eout ready to play as they would go on to win set one 25-21 and never trail in the set. However, the Bobcats would come back in set two and use a six point run in the middle of the set and a three point run at the end of the set to win the set 25-22 and tie the match at one game apiece. In set three, the Royals and Bobcats played even volleyball, but the Bobcats would score five straight points to go up 19-16 on the Royals late in the set. The Bobcats would hold off Warner to win set three 25-20 and take a 2-1 advantage. The Royals needed to win the next two sets to come away with victory and looked poised to do so late in set four. However, the Bobcats would score four straight points to take a 23-22 lead. After a Warner point, the Bobcats would get two more points and win the set 25-23 and the match 3-1 over the Royals. Warner falls to 10-5 (6-3) on the season after the loss.
Warner was led offensively by
Adrienne Czaplewski with 15 kills and Angie Pagan Perez with 12 kills.
Raygen Lee had 19 assists along with Kiara Rivera Escudero's 11 assists. Czaplewski would lead the team defensively as well with 18 digs while Pgan Perez had 15 herself.Â
The Royals have a bye week from conference play next week but will still take on St. Francis in the TAC Thursday October 20 at 7 pm.Â
