Box Score TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla.- The Warner Royals women's basketball team took on the Florida College Falcons on Tuesday night in a Thanksgiving week match-up. The Royals would use some fantastic defense to take the Falcons to double overtime for a non-conference victory. The first quarter went back and forth and both teams played even basketball as the Royals would hold a 13-12 lead entering the second quarter. The Royals would dominate the second quarter by finishing it off with a 15-2 run to take a 28-18 lead into halftime. The Royals and Falcons played a dead even third quarter as both teams would score 17 points each for the Royals to hold a ten point lead into the fourth. With only 10 minutes separating Warner and victory, the shooting hands went cold and the Falcons were able to overcome the deficit to tie the game up at 46 headed into the first overtime. Both teams would hold true to form as they both scored five points to remain tied and go into a second overtime. That is when the Royals decided they had played enough basketball that day. The Royals would go on a 7-0 run to propel themselves to a 61-56 win over Florida College. With the win, the Royals improve to 5-4 (1-1) on the season.

Cierra Wilson with 15 points, 4 steals, and 8 rebounds. I'munique Green and Charisa Broadway would both add 11 points each with Green hauling in 9 rebounds as well. The Royals would hold the Falcons to only 30% shooting on the night to show off some fantastic team defense. Warner will play two exhibition games Friday and Saturday before returning to action December 1 at Southeastern University. Game time is 7 pm.
