Box Score 1 ATLANTA, Ga.- The women's basketball team traveled up to Georgia on Wednesday to face off with Reinhardt University on Thursday and Carver College on Friday. On Thursday, the Royals had a rough first half against Reinardt as they only scored 13 points in the half while shooting only 24 percent from the floor. Down 30-13 at halftime, the Royals had a tough task ahead of them. They made some great adjustments in the second half and outscored Reinhardt 36-32, but the first half deficit was too much to overcome as they fell 62-49.
Kaley Schmick led the Royals with 13 points and shot 50 percent from the floor for the game.
On Friday, the Royals looked to get their first win of the season against Carver College. It took extra minutes as the game went into overtime, but the Royals were able to pull out a 57-52 win at Carver.
Kaley Schmick led the team with 15 points and Nikki Green added in another 12 points. The loss and the win over in Georgia put the Royals at 1-2 overall on the season. Their next game will be back at home on Tuesday November 8 at 5:30 pm against Trinity Baptist.
