Bobcats Edge Royals 52-48

Box Score
LAKE WALES, Fla.- The Royals had a big third quarter to pull themselves back into the game after a slow first half, but were unable to finish the comeback as they fell to St. Thomas 48-52. After scoring only nine points in the first half, the Royals looked to mount a comeback in the second galf with a very strong third quarter. They were able to cut the Bobcat lead to 29-26 going into the fourth quarter.

The Royals fought and scored in the fourth quarter, but an 8-1 run by the Bobcats late in the fourth proved to be too much for Royals to come back from. Mariah Williams and Porshe Shakes led the Royals offense with 14 points apiece. Isis Mance was able to drop nine points in herself along with ten rebounds. The Royals went to the charity stripe only seven times going 6-7. However, the Bobcats were able to get to the free throw line 19 times, making 11.

The Royals still sit in playoff contention as they will travel down to Johnson and Wales Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
