Mens Volleyball Keeps Tournament Hopes Alive

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – After falling in its first match of the tournament to No. 5 St. Ambrose (Iowa), No. 2 Warner rebounded with a four-set win over No. 4 Graceland (25-15, 24-26, 25-15, 25-18) in Pool Play of the 2016 NAIA Men's Volleyball National Invitational Championship, presented by Tachikara.

The Royals have completed Pool Play and will wait to see if they advance until after the Graceland vs. No. 5 St. Ambrose match on Friday, Apr. 22. With a St. Ambrose victory over Graceland, Warner will advance automatically.

If Graceland defeats SAU, there will be a tie-breaker scenario to see which teams advance out of Pool B.

With the victory, Warner moves to 23-6 on the year, while Graceland falls to 25-6. The Jackets are now 0-3 all-time at the event. This marks the second appearance in the National Invitational for Graceland. The Royals move to 4-6 on the national stage.

Two Royals finished with double-digit kills, as Henrik Falck Lauten led the way with 12 kills and Dylan Sechrest had 11 kills.

Warner hit .308 offensively, and held Graceland to just a .060 hitting percentage. Steven Roschitz had 11 kills to lead Graceland.
