#25 Royals Overthrow Gyrene’s In Route to 6th Straight Win

AVE MARIA, Fla. – Khalil Ozuna and Nick Macon score 20+ a piece in 92-60 victory over Sun Conference opponent Ave Maria.

1st Half Royals 50, Gyrenes 32

The Royals saw a 20 pt lead in the first half. They used a Khalil Ozuna dunk to strike first blood then it was all Royals from there. Ozuna finished the first half with 18 pts, 4 rebounds and a block. Nick Macon, fresh off his Sun Conference Player of the Week honor, followed closely with 13 pts, 3 assists and a steal.

2nd Half Royals 42, Gyrenes 28

The Royals fired up and did nothing but extend the lead in the 2nd half. Late in the half, they even saw a 36 pt lead. Melton Sanders found the zone as he put up 10 pts and 1 assist. Nick Macon furthered his drive as he put up 8 pts and 5 more assists along with 2 steals.

Head Coach Sean Hanrahan said, "I'm really proud of our effort and focus on the road tonight. Our guys were locked in from the start. Senior Denzel Osson played a great all around game with 8 pts, 9 rebounds and 6 assists."

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Royals continue their streak with 6 straight wins to start the season. Ave Maria was the 2nd Sun Conference opponent to fall giving the Royals a 2-0 TSC record. Warner will carry the momentum into their home matchup against the always tough Southeastern University this Saturday at 4:00 p.m. located at Warner University. The Fire carry a 2-1 record to start the year and are currently playing Webber International in the first TSC matchup.
