Box Score 2 SYLVANIA, Oh.- The men's volleyball team traveled up to Lourdes University for four games over the weekend. Their first match pitted them up against Robert Morris College. Mid way through the first set, the Royals pulled away from the Eagles with a 5-1 run. The Royals would once again use a big run to end the set, winning 8 of the final 10 points scored to take the first set 25-15. In set two, the Royals and Eagles were dead even throughout the entire set until the end. The Royals would then go on a 5-2 run to win the second set 25-19. The third and final set of the match was a different story, as the Royals dominated throughout the set. The Eagles did manage a late run, however, it was not enough as the Royals took the set 25-19 and the match 3-0. The Royals were led in the game by
Jahn Lazada with 12 kills,
Martin Krueger with 30 asissts, and
Hui Ding with 8 digs.
   In the second match of the day, the Royals went up against host, Lourdes University. The Royals went back and forth with the Gray Wolves for the first 22 points of the set. Then with Warner down 22-23, the Royals went on a 3-0 run to win the first set 25-23. In set two, the Royals took a lead early in the set 15-12 and again 17-14. Lourdes came back both times to make it a close set, but once again the Royals went on a late 3-0 run to put them up 23-21. Both teams would trade points and the Royals would finish the set with another 25-23 win and take a commanding 2-0 lead in the match. Lourdes would not go lightly, as they were able to win set three 25-18 and win set four 25-22 to force a deciding fifth set. The Royals would jump out on top 4-1 early in the fifth set. Lourdes got within one point, but the Royals would pull away to go up 11-7. With the score 12-10, the Royals would once again use a 3-0 run to win the final set 15-10 and the match 3-2 over Lourdes. Martin Krueger with 45 assists, and
Hui Ding with 22 digs.
   Warner will be back tomorrow to finish the final two matches of the tournament starting with Lawrence Tech then finishing with Missouri Valley.
