Box Score 3 HARDEEVILLE, S.C.- The Royals baseball team was swept this past weekend by USC Beaufort Sandsharks. The first game saw the Royals fall 15-12 in an offensive match-up to the Sandsharks. The Royals were able to build an 11-3 lead on the Sandsharks, but USCB scored 11 runs in the sixth inning to take a 14-11 lead and would hold on for a 15-12 win. In game two, the pitchers settled down and there was a little less offense. The Royals would score single runs in four innings and threaten the Sandsharks with big innings, but the Royals could never quite capitalize. USCB had a pair of two run homeruns in the contest along with a pair of unearned runs in the sixth inning that propelled them to a 7-4 victory. On Saturday the Royals looked to take a game from USCB, but the Sandsharks held the Royals offense at bay and benefited from two Warner errors to win the final game 11-7 and complete the sweep.
