Box Score DES MOINES, Iowa- On the Royals final day of the Grand View Molten Invitational, they squared off with defending champions Missouri Baptist. The Royals came out to a fast start as they used a 4-0 run early in the first set then a 3-0 run later to pull away from Missouri Baptist and take the first set 25-20. In set two, the Royals took an early lead, but Missouri Baptist came back. With the set very close, Missouri Baptist would score four of the final five points to win set two, 25-22. The Royals looked ot rebound and take the lead back again in the third set. Warner opened the set up 9-4 on Missouri Baptist, but they made a comeback and would get within three points of the Royals. That is when Warner would score six of the final seven points and win set three 25-17. In set four, Missouri Baptist would jump ahead of the Royals early. Warner would make a comeback, however, it was not enough as they would fall in set four, 25-22, in a tight match. As both teams moved on to the fifth and final set, they looked to jump out early and establish a lead. The Royals were able to do just that, however, Missouri Baptist went on a 6-1 run and the Royals were unable to recover. They would fall 15-12 in the final set and 3-2 to Missouri Baptist. Warner is now 4-4 on the season after the loss. 
The Royals were led by Jahn Lazada with 17 kills, Martin Krueger with 41 assists, and Hui Ding with 12 digs. Next the Royals will be at home on February 8 against Webber International at 7 pm.
