Box Score 3 LAKE WALES, Fla.- The baseball team had three games this past weekend against three different opponents. On Friday the team faced off with Judson Eagles.
Tyler Perkins got the start on the mound for the Royals, but came away with a no decision. Judson opened the scoring with one run in the fourth and three more in the fifth. The Royals came right back in the bottom half of the fifth and got three runs of their own. Two runs scored on an error by the second baseman for the Royals then
Jesse Alker hit a sacrifice fly to plate the third run of the inning. Judson got another run in the sixth but the Royals added a run of their own in the seventh on a
Junior Fermin RBI single. Judson tacked on a run in the top of the ninth and set the stage for the Royals comeback in the bottom half. Warner got their first run on a
Tyler Dauphinee RBI single then tied the game on a 2 RBI double by
Jesse Alker. With two outs and runners on second and third,
Broderick Rodocker hit a ground ball to second that the second baseman would bobble and Rodocker would be safe at first along with the winning run at home. The Royals would come away with a 7-6 win over the Eagles.
  The first game on Saturday for the Royals put them up against Mt. Vernon Nazarene Cougars. The Royals went up 2-0 early on an error and RBI single by
Tyler Dauphinee. The Cougars would get a run back in the fourth to make it 2-1, but the Royals would add on to the lead with a run of their own in the bottom half of the fourth on a passed ball that scored
Gerson Sotolongo. The Cougars would get a run in the sixth to make it 3-2, then they would add another three runs in the 7th to go up 5-3 on the Royals. Warner threatened in the bottom of the seventh and got within one run on a
Josh Canabal RBI single but was unable to tie the game and the Royals would lose a heartbreaker 5-4.Â
  Game two on Saturday was against Trinity Baptist. The Royals got a great pitching performance from
David Plotkin as he threw a complete game to get the victory. Warner got a single run in the first off of a
Jesse Haney ground ball, but Trinity tied it up at one in the second. The Royals got three runs in the fourth on an error and 2 RBI single by
Tyler Dauphinee to go up 4-1. Trinity got another run in the fifth, but in the bottom of the fifth,
Jesse Alker led off the inning with a solo blast to right field to put the Royals up 5-2. Trinity would get two in the sixth, but Plotkin shut the door in the seventh for a Royals 5-4 win.Â
