Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla.- The Royals men's volleyball team repeated as conference champs Saturday, as they swept the Cincinnati Christian Eagles 3-0. The Royals jumped out to a big 9-3 lead early in the first set, but the Eagles got it to 12-9 before the Royals went on another run to extend the lead up to 17-10. The Eagles would attempt a comeback, but it would not happen as the Royals would go on to win the set 25-20. Set two was completely dominated by the Royals as they went up 15-1 on the Eagles in the set. The Royals would not allow the Eagles to score into double digits, as they went on to win the set, 25-8, and take a commanding 2-0 lead in the match. Set three was a hard fought set from both sides as the Eagles would come from behind early to take a 16-12 lead on the Royals midway through the set. The Royals would then go on a 8-2 run to regain the lead 20-18 on the Eagles. The Royals would then trade points with the Eagles and take set three, 25-22, and the match 3-0. The Royals were led in the match by Dylan Sechrest with 14 kills, Martin Kreuger with 37 assists, and Hui Ding with 9 digs. The Royals earned the #4 seed in the upcoming NAIA National Invitational Tournament hosted by Missouri Baptist University. The Royals will begin play Thursday, April 20, at 4:00 pm versus Missouri Baptist.
