Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Royals baseball team fell in a thriller to #16 Keiser Seahawks Friday afternoon in West Palm Beach. The Royals got off to a rocky start as they allowed 9 runs in the first two innings to Keiser. Warner got on the board in the top of the second on a
Josh Canabal solo homerun to center field. Keiser would then score five more runs over the next two innings to add on to their lead. The Royals got two runs in the top of the fourth on a
Tyler Dauphinee RBI single and
Gerson Sotolongo sacrifice fly to make the score 14-3 at the end of four innings. The Royals would then get six runs in the fifth inning.
Chase Coon would open the scoring with a bases loaded walk then
Jordan Pike and
Tyler Dauphinee would add back to back RBI singles. Sotolongo would come to the plate to get a 2 RBI single to center and
Broderick Rodocker would add a RBI fielders choice to end the scoring for the Royals. In the sixth inning, the Royals got a three run homerun from
Jordan Pike to make the score 14-12. In the seventh the Royals would get RBI singles from Rodocker and Canabal to tie the game at 14.
Jesse Haney would score on a pass ball to give the Royals their first lead and then add on another run on a Pike sacrifice fly to left. Keiser would get a run in the eighth and the ninth to tie the game at 16 and send it into extra nnings. In the 11th, Haney would get a single to short that would score Rodocker to put the Royals up once again. The Seahawks would then tie the game up again to send it to the 12th. Warner would once again take a lead on a Sotolongo double to left center to go up 18-17. In the bottom of the 12th, the Seahawks woould come through with two runs to walk off on the Royals and win the game 19-18 in 12 innings.
