(RV) Royals Tame Wildcats To The Tune Of 89-77

North Miami, Fla. – Kahlil Ozuna notches 6th double-double of the year and ranks NAIA D-II 19th in total rebounds. Melton Sanders puts up 9th game of the season with 20 points or more while ranking NAIA D-II 23rd in overall scoring.

The Royals offense was singing from the get go as they took a 19 point lead following the 1st half. Kahlil Ozuna and Denzell Osson combined for a heavy 1st half work load as Ozuna had 11 points and 7 rebounds and 1 block, Osson had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. The Royals held the Wildcats to just 25 points in the first half.

The 2nd half tilted towards the Wildcats as they doubled their 1st half points outscoring the Royals 52-45. Melton Sanders heated up for the Royals in the 2nd half and threw up 17 points and 4 rebounds. Kahlil Ozuna finished out his 6th double-double of the year with 2nd half totals of 10 points and 5 rebounds. The Royals took the game with a final score of 89-77.

Warner improves to a (13-6) (TSC 5-3) which sits them in a Sun Conference 4th place. With 10 TSC game remaining on the schedule, the Royals trail 3 top-25 teams in the very powerful Sun Conference. (14) St. Thomas (Fla.), (#15) Southeastern that fell to St. Thomas last night and (25) Kesier. Warner was just 7 points shy of cracking the top-25 in the last poll so they trail just shy of Keiser for that ranking. Which leads to this Saturday's matchup, the (RV) Royals will welcome the visiting #25 Seahawks in the matchup of the 25th and 26th teams in the country.

(25) Keiser enters on a 4 game hot streak. The Royals are 9-2 at home while the Seahawks travel for just the 3rd time this year falling both times on the road previously. Tomorrow's game will take place at 4:00 p.m. at Warner University in the TAC.
