Precision was the name of the game in the first half as the Royals shot 50% from the field and 47% from 3-point range. Those numbers were greatly boosted by a
Melton Sanders who was 6-11 from the field, 2-6 from outside of the arch and put up 14 first half points along with a steal and 3 rebounds.
Nick Macon was in the zone from range as he hit 4-6 of his 3-point range shots giving him 12 points and 2 assists as well as a steal. The Royals trailed 46-42 at halftime.
Things only heated up between the two teams starting the second half.
Melton Sanders and

In overtime,
Adam Giger started things off with a bang as he hit yet another big 3-pointer to give the Royals a 95-92 lead. The Seahawks cut the lead to 95-94 after two successful free-throws. Under 3 minutes left in OT, the Seahawks were fouled again and made one of the two free-throws to knot up the game again at 95-95.
Melton Sanders knocked down a jump shot with 2 minutes left to regain the 2 point lead for the Royals, 97-95. The Seahawks grabbed a crucial steal and made the easy 2 tying the game at 97-97. With 00:01 left on the clock, the Seahawks drew a foul and made one of their free-throws giving them the 98-97 lead. A hail mary from the Royals fell just short as the Royals fell to the Seahawks in the overtime thriller 98-97.
The (RV) Warner University Royals will hit the road to take on another top-25 team in the (15) Southeastern University Fire next Thursday, in Lakeland at 8:00 p.m.
