MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Melton Sanders and Khalil Ozuna took off with 24 pts apiece but the Royals were held at bay dropping 89-79 to the Bobcats.

The first half lived up to the excitement as the Royals trailed by 1 heading into halftime 43-42. 3 Royals reached double digits as Melton Sanders came away with 14 pts, 3 assists and 2 rebounds. Khalil Ozuna hit 5 of 7 from the field to give him 10 pts. Samuel Schobben added 10 pts and 5 rebounds.

The second half was all Bobcats as they jumped to the game's biggest lead of 12 and maintained the lead throughout the half. The Royals fought and made several small runs but it was not enough to stop St. Thomas. The game final was 89-79.

The Royals, who are receiving votes for the top 25 in the country as a team, dropped to the #18 St. Thomas. Nick Macon still holds his lead in the TSC in 2 of 5 categories. Assists per game with 7.38 PG with 118 total. 2.50 PG in steals with 40 total on the year. The Royals hit the road for their next game against the TSC Johnson & Wales next Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
