BRUNSWICK – GA. This evening, the Lady Royals had a date with the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners. This is the second time these two teams matched up this season, and unfortunately the Royals fell both times by scores of 3-1.
Going into the game, The Royals held a 7-4 conference record, where the Mariners had almost an identical record of 6-4.
After pulling out the come-from-behind win of the first set 25-22, The Royals could not bring the momentum back throughout the rest of the game as they fell by scores of 23-25, 22-25, and 17-25.
The Royals struggled offensively, as they only put up a total of 36 kills throughout the 4 sets. Defensively,
Breeanna Navarro and
Andrea Lorenz each totaled numbers in the teens, with 18, and 15 digs respectively.
The Lady Royals will be back in action on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM in a home match against Keiser University.
