LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner University Royals win NCCAA South Regional for the first time in program history and also advance to the NCCAA National Championship for the first time.
The Royals entered today's game for the first ever NCCAA postseason play. They came away with a 2-0 victory over Columbia International University to advance to the 2018 NCCAA National Championships.
Devyn Hencil struck first for the Royals in the 10
thminute when he found the net off the assist from
Matheus Santiago. That was Hencil's first goal of the 2018 season.
Kenolson Collin broke loose in the 87
thminute and dribbled half the field to eventually beating the Rams keeper sealing the deal for the Royals. Collin's goal was his 4
thof the season.
The Royals fired 22 shots with 12 of them on goal. The Rams registered 14 shots with 5 of them on goal giving
Angelo Neto 4 saves while notching his 3
rdshutout of the season.
The Royals advance to the NCCAA National Championships which will be played November 26
th-December 1
